Georgia and Scott’s beautiful (and when I say beautiful, it’s because I can’t think of a word one hundred times better to describe this event in justice) South Carolina wedding is featured on Style Me Pretty’s blog today … Along with some Sweet Peach Paper goodies.

SPP had the privilege of designing Georgia and Scott’s Save the Date and tags for the guest’s favors at the wedding. What a treat to be among such talented vendors like Laura Hooper Calligraphy and Chocolate Butterbean!

I’ve been busy having a baby! That’s right. My husband, Paul, and I welcomed our sweet little girl into the world on February 15th. 

Our little Ann Elise. 8lbs. 14oz. 21 inches. Hello world!

So, while I’m hanging out with this precious munchkin, I’ll be taking a break from the lovely world of Sweet Peach Paper. In May, Sweet Peach Paper will be back in action with a new website, a new line of party invitations, and taking custom wedding orders. Can’t wait to see y’all in May!

There’s nothing better than opening your mailbox to find a handwritten note inside. Are you planning on sending out Valentine’s this year?  

On January 22, 2012, the USPS Postage rates went up, which means new stamp designs! (All stamp nerds raise your hands now).

Brides, for your save the dates, thank you cards, and reply cards, a 45 cent stamp is the ticket. If your wedding invitation suite is over 2-ounces (invitation, reply card with envelope, and enclosures), make sure you use a 65 cent stamp. And for all postcards (favorite!), use a 32 cent stamp.

It’s that time of year again. Love is in the air, the birds are singing, flowers are blooming, and people are gettin’ hitched … Which means presents, presents, presents!

I love to give a great gift but am trying to retrain my brain to know that great does not have to equal pricey. With the plethora of showers and weddings we’ve been attending lately, I’ve been jonesing for a solution to making something affordable extra special. A dear friend gave me the sweet - pun intended - inspiration I needed over lunch this past week.

If there’s one thing we love in Georgia, its sweet tea. So, starting with this pretty and affordable pitcher from the couple’s registry, I got to work.

I designed a recipe card for steeping tea and a recipe for simple syrup, as well as a little tag with the couple’s last name initial as the tea tag. These were printed out on Crane’s Lettra, and affixed to a bag of peach tea with some raffia to make the tea bag complete. 

Put all this inside the pitcher and voila! The iPhone photos just don’t do it justice. Its pretty adorable. Do you have any great ideas for making shower gifts a little something extra special?

I was going through some old pictures the other day, trying to clean out the garbage that has collected in my iPhoto, and I stumbled across a bachelorette invitation I made for my nearest and dearest, Amanda Banks - I mean, Amanda Vessels - when she was getting married.

Apparently, the invitation craze was stirring two years ago. If I remember correctly, I printed these off at work (sorry HPPC) and had my first love/hate relationship with envelope liners. 

For a girl who didn’t know what she was doing, I’d say these turned out pretty okay :).

I can hardly believe that its two years later, Amanda and I were both one another’s Maids of Honor and now, Mandy has a baby. Time goes by SO FAST and the Lord is SO GOOD.

Earlier this week, Sweet Peach Paper was featured on Invitation Crush’s lovely blog. It took me a moment to realize these were our wedding invitations, since no one calls me Jennifer, except when I am in big-time trouble with my mom (cue fifteen-year-old flashbacks), but the double-take made me squeal! What a wonderful Monday morning surprise it was!

On a chilly Friday night in January, my dear friend Jon proposed to his girlfriend - now fiance! - Abby. The night was, literally, perfect.

Once the magic moment happened, Jon yelled out “She said YES!” and the two headed down to the lake house dock, where every one anxiously had been waiting to celebrate our newly engaged friends!

After squeals, hugs, champagne, laughing and crying, we all headed back up to the house to start the real party. I was so excited to get to add some papery goodness to the scene!

Working on several wedding invitations for what is now this year, and I find it beyond bizzar-o to be writing dates ending in “Two Thousand and Eleven.” How did this happen?!

Two-K-Eleven is shaping up to be a promising year already. I will be doing my first ever collaboration with a calligrapher for an uber-customized wedding invitation, pumpin’ out baby announcements galore, among other things.

I could not help but share a small sneak peek of this invitation for a stellar bride and groom:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Goebels and Sweet Peach Paper. Now that our (extra late!) cards are off in the mailbox, I figured it was time to show these off on the blog. And a little snow even came our way in Georgia to give us a pretty photo shoot.

It’s been a great year full of lots of adventures. I am so thankful for the grace upon grace the Lord has brought to our lives, and for all of you who have supported this endeavor to launch Sweet Peach Paper. I could not have done it without each and every one of you. (Extra gratitude goes to Shaun Menary, my constant advice giver, business manager, photographer extraodinaire … I am so thankful for you.). Can’t wait to see what 2011 brings for this little Goebel family and for Sweet Peach Paper!
